An Outsider on the Horizon @wild_canary

@wild_canary is an artist & sculptor living & creating in Rhode Island, USA.

@wild_canary creates simple sculptural maquettes & then realizes them in a variety of scales & materials as limited editions &or unique artworks.

@wild_canary was formally trained in composite technologies at the International Yacht Restoration School & went on to work restoring & fabricating sculptures by famous blue chip artists; some of the most notable being: Roy Lichtenstein, Alexander Calder, Keith Haring & Jeff Koons.

Inspired by the great artworks he worked on by these artists @wild_canary became determined to create a legacy of large scale sculpture of his own.

In 2012 @wild_canary began the practice of scaling up his own maquetted sculptural designs & illegally installing them at night in The City of Providence, RI as sculptural street art.

In 2016 @wild_canary came out of anonymity as an artist & installed his first legal large scale public sculpture which was titled POD(People of Difference) This sculpture has stood continuously in the center of a small park located in the lower east side of Providence, RI for nearly 9 years.

While the artist @wild_canary’s focus of ambition lays with creating large scale monumental sculpture he also currently creates & offers for purchase by collectors, his sculptural designs in a scale 1 edition format he calls The Origin Edition Format.

At this time @wild_canary has scaled up a limited selection of his sculptural designs to mid-scales as editions &or unique pieces to serve as indoor floor sculptures &or garden sculptures; but he intends to soon create & offer more.

@wild_canary is open to custom sculptural commissions of his sculptural designs in most materials & practically any scale.

@wild_canary is currently working on fabricating his most ambitious sculptural project yet, titled The Wicked Big Windy Edition.

Branching from his sculptural practice @wild_canary also creates sculpturally inspired
two-dimensional artworks in the form of abstract expressionist monoprints as well as a cryptocurrency inspired MicroMonoPrint project.
